I got to see all three games yesterday, and Halladay was even more dominant than the term "no-hitter" would suggest. I don't recall anyone even hitting the ball hard all day. I didn't think the Reds would have much of a chance against the Phillies; now, I don't think anyone does.

Cliff Lee was very impressive, as well, and probably would have been the story of the day if not for Doc. Neither the Twins nor the Yankees looked very good in the nightcap. The AL just got even harder to predict.

I only got to see the Phillies game more or less all the way through (listened to the first few innings in the car, then watched the rest at home). He could have gone 15 and not given up a hit. They weren't close. I thought the Phillies were far and away the favorite going in (I didn't do a preview post because of that) and I have no reason to change my mind.

I didn't get to see any of Rangers-Rays, but I saw when Liriano gave up the runs to the Yankees. Why is it that every manager going against the Yankees in the postseason seems to always leave their pitcher in two batters too long and can never see it, even though it's obvious watching at home?
